Songs of the Month: June 2016

Songs of the Month is when I share 3-4 songs that I have been watching/listening to on YouTube. I know everyone has their own preferences and may not like what I pick, but enjoy!

Disclaimer: I do not claim rights to any of these videos. They are simply videos from YouTube that I find entertaining.

Title: Goodbye
Artist(s): Nia

I first listened to this song years ago and had forgotten about it until yesterday. I believe the group is no longer together, but I thought they were so cool. Nia inspired me to learn how to play the guitar (although I eventually gave up on learning). You see a lot of male Korean rock bands, but Nia was one of the first female Korean pop/rock bands I had ever listened to. Although I don’t understand what they’re saying, I really like the female pop/rock sound.

Title: As a Man
Artist(s): Gummy

Here’s another song that I first listened to years ago. Even as I listen to it today, I still like it just as much.

Title: No Matter What
Artist(s): Boa and Beenzino

Here’s a newer song that was released earlier this month. I learned from reading the comments that this type of music is called “tropical house” or something of the house genre. The music video is also pretty interesting. Boa debuted in 2000, and she’s still releasing great music.

Sorry, if Korean music isn’t your cup of tea. All three of these songs are Korean, but I’m honestly not too picky about music as long as it sounds good to my ears. Any other song I should listen to?
