Songs of the Month: December 2015

I apologize that this post is so late. I’ve been sick and busy traveling all over to visit family and friends for the holidays, so I haven’t had the time to blog.

I want to start Songs of the Month to share 3-4 songs that I have been listening to on Youtube. I know everyone has their own preferences and may not like what I pick, but enjoy!

Title: Father, Father
Artists: Benjamin Kheng and Joel Tan

Benjamin Kheng and Joel Tan are both from Singapore. Benjamin Kheng is part of a group called The Sam Willows, and Joel Tan is also known as Gentle Bones. I really like the song because it reminds me of my father who passed away a little over two years ago. Not only that, but the lyrics have so much meaning.

Title: Bahagia
Artists: Gamaliel Audrey Cantika (GAC)

GAC, from Indonesia, consists of Gamaliel Tapiheru, Audrey Tapiheru, and Cantika Abigail. I have no idea what they are saying, but it’s so upbeat and catchy that I automatically start moving when it comes on. It’s true that music is universal. You don’t need to understand what they’re saying to appreciate it.

Title: Death of a Bachelor
Artist: Panic! At The Disco

I’ll admit that I never really cared for Panic! At The Disco until I heard this song. I didn’t even know what they (now he) looked like. People are saying that Panic! At The Disco’s music sounds very different from the old Panic! At The Disco, but I, personally, prefer the new over the old. Brendon Urie sounds amazing, and he’s also quite easy on the eyes!

That’s it for this post! Are there any good songs you would recommend I listen to or watch the music video for?
