After almost 11 years of being together, my fiance and I finally got married! We had our courthouse wedding on October 10th. It was definitely short but sweet.
Outfit/Look of the Day
A month before the ceremony, I purchased a white dress from Yesstyle. I did a complete 180 the day before, and wore a playsuit I found at Rue21 for $7.50. It was the right decision as it wasn’t your typical wedding, and I’m not your typical girl/bride. It did make my booty look a little big, but I still think it was perfect.
I paired the playsuit with the cutest Mary Jane shoes ever that were purchased from Target.
I wore a pair of Swarovski crystal heart threader earrings and carried a small bouquet of white crepe paper roses.
Wedding Ceremony
Although it was a simple courthouse wedding, we had over twenty people join us. Right before the actual ceremony, the judge went over his lines and ours. I put the ring on my fiance’s hand first.
Then he put the ring on my hand.
When the judge told us to hold hands, my fiance and I had the exact same thoughts. We automatically did our couple handshake. He messed up a little bit and everyone thought it was rehearsed, but it honestly wasn’t.
We ended the handshake with an explosion.
Just as quickly as it began, the ceremony was over. We were married!
Nothing has really changed except we now have titles of husband and wife. It’s great to finally be married, but even without the marriage, nothing would have changed. We still love each other the same today as we did before we were married.
