Drama of the Week: Bridal Mask

BridalMask

Here’s a quick description of the drama:
Bridal Mask is based on the Korean manhwa, and takes place in the 1930s during the Japanese occupancy of South Korea. The drama revolves around someone wearing a bridal mask who pops up and protects the people of Korea, and he fights for Korea’s independence. Apologies, I can’t get into the plot too much without spoiling something.

Bridal Mask started and ended airing in 2012, so it’s a bit older, but all I can say is WOW! It is really good! There are 28 episodes total. It is a little longer than the usual drama, but definitely worth a watch. A few of the main actors and actresses are Joo Won, Jin Se-Yun, Park Ki-Woong, Han Chae-Ah, and Shin Hyun-Joon. I will admit that some of the fighting scenes were a little cheesy, but aside from that, the acting itself was great. If you like eye-candy, this is the drama to watch. There are several good looking men and women. My favorite, obviously, was Joo Won. He’s really good looking, and who wouldn’t want to watch that mischievous, but yet cute and charming smile?!

The episodes are about an hour each. I started Bridal Mask 3 days ago, and I am already on episode 20. I won’t tell you what happened, but WARNING! episode 6 and episode 7 are super heart wrenching. I cried… a lot. Thankfully, I was home alone. If you’re looking for a romantic action, this is an awesome pick.

Have any of you seen this drama before? If you’ve watched it, what was your opinion on it?
